Joseph Connell is a regularly engaged extra percussionist with the National Symphony Orchestra. He is on the music faculty at George Washington University and performs with numerous music ensembles in the area. He has played percussion and drumset at the Kennedy Center for productions of Showboat, Titanic and Andrew Lloyd Weber's By Jeeves. Mr. Connell appears on recordings by the NSO, The Washington Symphonic Brass, the Choirs of Washington National Cathedral and the original cast recording of Stephen Sondheim's Bounce. In addition to orchestral work, Mr. Connell has also played with popular entertainment artist ranging from country music's Charlie Daniels to the progressive rock group Yes.
Joel Blumenthal is a live electronic musician from Washington, DC. Joel's musical vision is to create electronic music live in real time without the use of prerecorded samples. He accomplishes this by looping synthesizers and drums, essentially producing a track right in front of the audience. Joel is also an active member of DC's electronic music scene, he runs the DC Electronic Music Meetup Group (www.meetup.com/electronicdancemusic) and is a part of the U st Music Hall supported electronic music website Blisspop (Blisspop.com)
