76 Degrees West
Featuring members of The Chuck Brown Allstars and DC's top touring and studio musicians, this night celebrates their 10 Year Anniversary as one of the DMV's most beloved bands. Join us on the dance floor!
This is the 10 year anniversary of the band's 1st album- self titled "76DegreesWest". (Prior to this, the band had toured as a professional backup band called Perfect Image, on the road with major R&B and jazznames.) Tracks from that album pushed the band into the Billboard charts and made them one of the Mid-Atlantic's most requested bands on regional radio stations.
Based out of the DMV, the jazz-funk band has been lighting up stages across the U.S. for years. The group has worked with numerous national acts such as "Jamaica Funk" Tom Brown, Sax Man Jimmy Sommers, Grammy Award-Winner Gordon Chambers, Eric Darius, Allyson Williams, Rahsaan Patterson, and Raheem De Vaughn. The band's 1st single was an instrumental remake of AWB's "School Boy Crush" which made it into Billboard's Bubbling Under chart and was a radio request worldwide. When deciding on a name, the band drew inspiration by the longitude in the Western Hemisphere that covers the Washington D.C. area.
The band has swiftly evolved into one of the most memorable-sounding bands on the East Coast with musical influences such as Earth Wind & Fire, Mint Condition, Kool & The Gang, and others. Definitely a "must-see" live in concert!
